3. User Accounts and Responsibilities

3.1 Account Creation

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • One person may not maintain multiple accounts

3.2 Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

4. Organization Management

4.1 Organization Owners

  • Have full administrative control over their organization
  • Can invite and manage members
  • Can create and manage ballots
  • Are responsible for compliance with applicable laws

4.2 Member Responsibilities

  • Must be legitimate members of the residents' association
  • Should vote only once per ballot
  • Must respect the democratic process
  • Should report any suspicious activity

5. Voting and Ballots

5.1 Ballot Creation

  • Ballots must be created by authorized administrators
  • All ballots must comply with applicable laws and regulations
  • Ballot questions must be clear and unambiguous
  • Voting periods must be reasonable and fair

5.2 Vote Integrity

  • We implement security measures to prevent vote tampering
  • Each user can vote only once per ballot
  • Vote timestamps are recorded for audit purposes
  • Anonymous votes cannot be traced back to individuals

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Resident.Vote and its licensee and licensors, and their employees, contractors, agents, officers and directors, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees).

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever and without limitation, including but not limited to a breach of the Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be interpreted and governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect.
